All requests for special accommodations are handled by the Weingarten Center. Accommodation are granted in accordance with the official accommodation letters issued by them.
In situations where accommodation letters dictate that testing occur outside of the official testing venue (such as when extra time or reduced-distraction environments are granted), the student may schedule accommodated testing with the Weingarten Center. The time scheduled at the Weingarten Center must overlap with the time of the official exam. It is solely the student’s responsibility to make these arrangements. The Weingarten Center determines and enforces its own policies and procedures, including requirements for making requests sufficiently far in advance of the exam. These policies are not in the control of the BEPP department or its faculty. If the student is unable to arrange accommodated testing, the student has the option to take the exam under standard conditions with the rest of the class.
For some exams scheduled in the evening, such as the exams in BEPP 1000 and 2500, the BEPP department handles the arrangements for testing, after a student has first been approved for accommodations through the Weingarten Center. If a student requires an accommodation that the BEPP department is unable to provide, the student will need to arrange for testing in the Weingarten Center at an alternate time that is mutually agreeable to both the BEPP department and the Weingarten Center.
